Programme – Resilience for Managers

This two-day corporate health and wellbeing program is for managers interested in exploring and developing better resilience around how to support their own wellbeing and that of their teams.

Dates for this programme are to be announced, but if you are interested, please contact Lise Ribeiro on 01937 541700.

An increase in awareness and attention on mental health in the workplace can fast leave managers starting to feel overwhelmed and stressed by the increased variety and sensitivity of the conversations opening up within their team around managing employee wellbeing. By delivering our corporate wellbeing programs we want managers to feel empowered and resilient in handling these conversations, whilst still maintaining the effectiveness of the relationships that matter. First, we need a better, shared understanding of the core pillars that make up manager employee wellbeing; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and creative wellbeing.

Questions might be arising within the management in your workplace such as:

  • Whose responsibility is it when it comes to employee wellbeing?
  • How are managers expected to handle these difficult conversations?
  • If I get it wrong, am I exposed or at risk?
  • How do I manage my boundaries?
  • How can Managers leave work related issues at work and not take them home?
  • What’s the right balance between caring and getting the job done when you’re in management?

Building resilience through our wellbeing corporate program enables managers to become more adaptable and to cultivate the management skills and abilities to deal with challenges, increased stress and change.

In our wellbeing corporate programs you will learn how to help your team thrive

In our many years working with whole person wellbeing and through the members of our RAW Network, we’ve noticed a trend starting to appear in the manager communities of organisations.

With the welcome increase in awareness of mental health in the workplace, we are now conscious of an increase in pressure and stress on managers of teams. It’s not enough to set objectives, hold the purpose and develop the team to perform to their best. Managers now need to understand neuroscience, mental health conditions and know how to respond appropriately. These extra pressures can increase stress on managers. The irony is that a manager’s own wellbeing can suffer, in order to take care of the team’s wellbeing.

We believe there is an easier way to navigate these new trends; through better relationships, strong boundaries and good self-awareness.

In our corporate health and wellbeing program for managers you will leave with an understanding of;

  • our unique whole person approach to wellbeing for individuals and teams
  • your resilience as a manager and how it’s different to the resilience of your team
  • the wellbeing triggers pulling for your attention
  • healthy boundaries and how to hold them in service of self and other
  • how to create space and a slower pace to reflect on your own style of managing others and how you might adapt this for your own wellbeing

It is not essential to have attended a Mental Health First Aid course prior to coming on this workplace wellbeing program.
