Autumn Salon: Kindness and Trust in Leadership

In a climate of increasing complexity, ‘authoritarian leadership’ and uncertainty, there are calls for a more responsible form of leadership in business and society.

The relationship between kindness, trust and leadership is a topic of fundamental importance for our well-being as individuals, for the success of our organisations, and for the future of our global community.

We welcome conversation starter: Gay Haskins, author of Kindness in Leadership, published by Routledge this year. Gay was Dean of Executive Education and CEO of Oxford University Saïd Business School and before that was Associate Dean of Executive Education at London Business School, and Director General of European Foundation of Management Education (EFMD).

Together with her co-author, Gay will share the findings from their book exploring kindness in the organisational world. There will be small group dialogues enabling co-creation of shared understanding, wisdom through difference and actions to encourage new insights, learning and transformation.

Life is never about the results, only about the relationships. Kindness is a powerful contributor so how can it really thrive in organisations?
