At the May seminar on “What does it really take to be a resilient organisation?” we asked participants for their intentions on leaving.

This was to help people to articulate what they had taken from the session and what they wanted to take back into their workplaces.

Some of the intentions were:

Be brave; ask the difficult questions, challenge thinking

Find some real clear priorities and goals from within the huge ‘to do’ list

To have a planned ‘what next’

Continue working with the question – ‘where am I at most resilient?’

To involve staff and managers more in the future to increase buy-in and engagement

Weekly ‘temperature’ check within my team

Have a reflective meeting to put actions in place

Anonymous internal survey

Go back and look at management development programme in more detail with different focus – personal skills/leadership and people management as central – how to support this?

Increased openness with staff

Regular constant feedback
